Great question. Currently most of our jobs come from the residential side of the business, however, we are seeing strong growth in the business-to-business area, which typically brings in higher average tickets and more repeat customers.

The junk removal industry is generally consistent throughout the year, but during the spring months we do typically see higher volume. There are significant opportunities to generate business throughout the entire year.

The requirement for a new franchise is to operate one junk truck, however, many franchise locations operate multiple trucks, depending on the truck type and expected job volume.

On average, it takes three months from the time the agreement is signed until the franchise becomes operational.

Your trucks and your employees are the most important asset on the ground level of operations. Through the opening phase and beyond, our network of preferred vendors, along with our Michigan Support Center teams, will help you make the right choices to fit your needs and will share the necessary processes to help keep your investment rolling safely. Here are some things to consider for three of the most common truck styles currently in use by the system: 
• Fixed Body – This is how the system typically refers to the standard junk removal truck with dumping capabilities. The term “fixed body” refers to the fact that the container is not removable from the chassis. These trucks are more affordable than those with swappable containers. These systems a great if you have no immediate plans for a drop and leave container rental service at your location. 
• Cable System – These trucks have a winch and cable system that pulls droppable containers on and off the chassis. Being able to drop a container has several benefits. They can be left at a site and rented for specific periods of time. It can also be useful for logistics. These systems are a more expensive option than fixed body. 
• Hook-Lift System – Similar to the cable system, except a hook lift truck has a hydraulic lift system that hooks a container and pulls it onto the chassis, instead of utilizing a cable and winch. Choosing between this and the cable system tends to be a point of preference.

• We’re proud to support our communities by giving second life to items that might otherwise be thrown away. While landfill use is sometimes unavoidable, it’s always our last resort.

In 2025 we launched our national charity program “Healing through Hauls” where we look to provide support to individuals and families who are struggling. We believe that everyone deserves a fresh start, and we are proud to be a trusted partner with local community shelters helping people rebuild their lives, one step at a time. Through consumer donations, we help provide individuals and families with the space and resources needed to heal and grow. Every item we collect could be a lifeline for a person in need, helping them create a safe, supportive space to rebuild their life.
